Meet the Team

The Leadership Camp team has been co-founding, collaborating, co-facilitating, and co-adventuring for a decade. This unique team of individuals brings a wealth of conscious leadership executive coaching, consulting, content creation, and business operating experience to develop new, custom-built programs for leaders and high-potential team members around the world. They bring very different styles and awarenesses to their co-facilitation, and Camp attendees speak often of the synergies of their approaches.

Sue Heilbronner

Sue is a CEO, founder, speaker, advisor, investor, podcast host, mentor, professor, former civil rights attorney, creative visionary, board member, operator, and catalyst. Sue has been a CEO, President, or Chief Marketing Officer for digital marketing and ecommerce companies since the earliest days of the internet. She began her career as an attorney – last as a federal prosecutor with the US Department of Justice. She transitioned to business by founding an online baby gift company in 1999, which she later sold when she joined Discovery Communications, parent company of Discovery Channel and 15 other international networks.

Since Discovery, Sue has led companies in the interactive travel, digital publishing, ecommerce, and online education sectors. Two of these firms had successful exits.

In 2014, Sue co-founded MergeLane, an investment fund focused primarily on companies with at least one female in leadership. Sue has served as the CEO of the fund, and the fund has made investments in 40 companies, primarily in the tech sector. Sue has the privilege of serving as a mentor at Techstars Boulder and an Adjunct Professor of Law and Entrepreneurship at the University of Colorado Law School.

Sue has been teaching Conscious Leadership for the last seven years with portfolio companies, one-on-one executive coaching clients, and companies like Uptake, PlanGrid, Leo Burnett, Ghostery, Shinesty, and Crocs.  She is an avid angel investor in companies with amazing founding teams working on problems she cares about.

Sue earned a B.A. from Oberlin College and a J.D. and M.A. from Duke University.  

Whether on the trail or in town, Sue is passionate about spotting and mentoring wildly talented business leaders. She’s based in Boulder, CO, but you’ll find her all over the globe for work and play, which are pretty much one and the same for Sue.

Leah Pearlman

Leah Pearlman began her career in technology, first working for Microsoft for two years as a product manager and community manager, then moving on to become one of the first Product Managers at Facebook in 2006.

At Facebook Leah learned to deliver exceptionally high quality products. She also cultivated a deep appreciation for building a vision-based company in which aligned values drive company and product decisions.

Over five years of rapid growth, Leah worked in a fast-past environment leading  many teams at once whose products interrelated. She developed the skills required to keep teams empowered, informed, and aligned with each other and the company as a whole, while also supporting individuals to focus on their individual output.

Leah found company alignment so essential, that when Facebook grew from 100 to 2000+ employees, she became the head of Internal Communications. Her role was to help keep the company as a whole informed, aligned, and inspired.

Leah left Facebook in 2011 to follow a thread of living inner and outer alignment. She speaks about this transition in her TEDxBoulder talk. She has become deeply interested in living a values-based life, and she enjoys supporting others to do the same. To this end, she spends time learning, coaching, public speaking, teaching, facilitating Leadership Camp and creating inspirational art; her first book, Drawn Together, was published by Penguin in 2016.

Kaley Warner Klemp

Kaley Warner Klemp is a is a sought-after speaker, YPO and executive team facilitator, bestselling author, and transformational executive coach.

She advises senior executives at Fortune 100 companies to growth stage tech startups on how to uncover and address core challenges in communication, trust and culture. Kaley is an Enneagram personality model specialist, helping organizations outperform their competitors by unlocking a deeper understanding of what motivates and drives people. Kaley co-authored The Drama-Free Office and The 15 Commitments of Conscious Leadership and wrote 13 Guidelines for Effective Teams.
