Conscious Leadership Forums

What is a Conscious Leadership Forum?

Forum offers a chance to deepen your self-awareness and develop a regular practice of Conscious Leadership across your life. Forum is a laboratory, a place to practice Conscious Leadership with a group of high-caliber leaders focused on personal and professional growth.  We support all forum members to live more aligned, contented lives.

What is the unique value of a Forum experience?

Forums offers an unrivaled learning experiences and outcomes:

  • The group feedback process supports revealing and remedying long-hidden blind spots and unconscious commitments. Long-recycling issues will receive attention and will often reach a resolution.
  • An unwavering commitment to transparency allows everyone’s most authentic self to come forward.
  • A group dedicated to aligning with the core principles of Conscious Leadership creates a rare climate of trust that sets the stage for radical transformation.

Who may participate?

People who:

  • Take conscious responsibility for their influence in the world as leaders.
  • Commit to curiosity, value learning over being right, and are open to giving and receiving feedback.
  • Are dedicated to living in alignment with the core principles of Conscious Leadership.

How many people are in a Forum?

Forums are made up of 8-12 members and one facilitator.

How is a Conscious Leadership Forum different from other Forums?

Conscious Leadership Forums focus on context, while most other groups focus on the content of a member’s issue. We listen in order to understand the content but our primary focus is on the context from which the content arises. In doing so, we support members in permanently resolving issues.

Leadership Camp Forums will prioritize self-awareness over socializing, giving business advice, or networking.

Who is a great fit for a Conscious Leadership Forum?

  • Entrepreneurs + Founders
  • Enterprise + Big Company Leaders
  • Non-profit Leaders
  • Leaders in Transition
  • Emerging Leaders with Big Visions
  • You

Frequently Asked Questions

What will I get out of Camp?

Using the tools of Conscious Leadership, Leadership Camp will increase your command of the following key leadership and management skills:

  • Managing “down” — bringing out the very best in your team members; delegating; managing underperformers; appreciating overperformers
  • Managing “up” — optimizing your potential across and above the organization
  • Managing client relationships — creating win-win engagements; managing expectations; setting boundaries
  • Giving and receiving feedback — resulting in more closeness (rather than more distance) after the exchange
  • Creating clean agreements (and cleaning up the messy ones) — reducing miscommunication
  • Building muscles around taking ownership over your own issues — creating less work for yourself and others
  • Running effective and productive meetings
  • Defining, adjusting, and managing roles & responsibilities
  • Eliminating drama and gossip; making “venting” productive
  • Creating an environment that welcomes candor and space for others to be candid around you
  • Bringing more authenticity to your relationships, enhancing communication, and building intimacy

Why is Leadership Camp Called “Camp”?

Well, we like immersive programming that feels like camp: rich, connected, experiential, intense, fun, transformative.

Which Camp is right for me?

We offer three types of Camp

Leadership Camp: If you’re looking for a deep immersion into the principles of Conscious Leadership, self-awareness, and authenticity in service of optimizing your own leadership strengths and style. Leadership Camp is also a great option for a leadership team.

Couples Camp: If you’d like to enhance communication within or deepen a specific relationship, including your romantic relationship, your family relationships, or your business partnership.

Mini-Camp: If you’d like to learn the basic tenets of Conscious Leadership in a fast-paced, highly efficient half day with us.

We invite you to bring your entire team — executive or functional — to any of the three types of Camp. The teams who have done this reap tremendous rewards of quickly and efficiently creating a shared language of Conscious Leadership and also deepening the bond and increasing the candor across the team.

What makes Camp unique from other leadership training programs?

Executive leadership training and CEO coaching programs are in abundance. You may be wondering what makes Leadership Camp unique. It’s this: Authenticity. We deliver programming that allows people to create for themselves increased permission to be who they are in their leadership and in their lives. Read more about our philosophy on Authenticity.

What else should I know about Camp?

Leadership Camp is an emotionally intense, introspective experience. We will be working to uncover often lifelong patterns that can facilitate leadership but also get in the way unconsciously. One thing we notice is that most of these patterns have deep and meaningful emotional connections. As leaders, we often suppress emotions as not being "allowed at work." Conscious leaders learn to be present and aware of the emotional underpinnings they bring to their work encounters, decisions, and judgments. Leadership Camp helps attendees explore their emotional substructure in a way that may feel direct and intense.

You will have full control over what you choose to share, but assume others will be sharing intimate and revealing information from which the entire group can learn. Be prepared for charged discussions. We believe noticing, naming and welcoming our patterns in an trusted group is key to  creating transformation and reducing drama at work.

If you've been waiting for a chance to deepen your self-awareness as a leader, Camp is for you.
